Hearten /ˈhɑːtən/ 鼓励,激励 

The news heartened everybody.  这个消息鼓舞了每个人。

Heartrending /ˈhɑːtˌrɛndɪŋ/  令人心碎的; 使人悲悯的

heartrending pictures of refugees.

They heckled him and interrupted his address with angry questions.
